"Tonight Tonight" is a song by American pop rock band Hot Chelle Rae. It was released as the lead single from their second album Whatever on March 15, 2011.This song is very catchy with a chorus that kicks in very quickly after the song begins. The pop-rock sway of the song punctuated with synth beats makes it a perfect fit for current pop radio. Lyrics that celebrate forgetting the world in favor of a great party with friends matches the mood of the times. There is even a cameo in the "Tonight Tonight" video by Glee's Chord Overstreet. However, coming away from the song I'm not sure there is anything that makes me remember Hot Chelle Rae.

"Tonight Tonight" is the type of song that slides on to pop radio playlists and gets a positive audio response so it continues to climb. Eventually, the song will gain enough popularity audiences may begin to ask, "Who is the artist?" That is the point at which Hot Chelle Rae will hope there is something distinctive enough about "Tonight Tonight" that more than hardcore fans will remember the band. The other two singles on their EP Tonight Tonight, "I Like To Dance" and "Bleed," are different enough from each other it is difficult to identify the unifying elements between them.
"Tonight Tonight" is a clever, ingratiating song that will tug at your affections like an eager puppy. Let down your defenses and enjoy the song's simple pleasure. However, if you find that the charms are similar to Selena Gomez and the Scene's "Who Says," you may have just discovered the production here is more distinctive than Hot Chelle Rae.
